Gateway Meritorious Service Award Winners
Each year, the Gateway Region is allowed to name up to 5 people to receive the Robert T. Lindsay Meritorious Service Award - named in honor of a former USA Volleyball President. The award recognizes those individuals who have contributed greatly to the sport of volleyball on a regional level.
In 2006 the award was renamed in honor of Dennis Lafata, former Associate Commissioner and Gateway Region office staff member, who passed away in October 2005 after an extended battle with leukemia.

Gateway Viggo O. Nelson Publication Awards
The USA Volleyball National Organization awards Regions for outstanding publications. The awards are presented at the National meetings held each May in conjunction with the Adult National Championships.
