Level of Competition:
NCFS - VELOCITY was developed by  area coaches in response to a need we perceived as we visited area schools and met with players and their families. We noticed a lack of teams and programs in place to expand competitive, college-preparatory volleyball experience to  area players and families. Our goal is to make the club experience  accessible, enlightening, competitive, and fun. We seek to offer a competitive club experience and to prepare high school athletes for a more elite experience in college athletics if possible. We also aim to give players more depth and breadth of experience by targeting specific skills, exposing players to a broader range of competition, and by developing desirable mental and physical characteristics in each athlete. It is our club philosophy that during the 11-14 age range, specialty positions are not picked for the girls, other than setter's, in an effort to make sure they are all competent in all aspects of the game, prior to entering their high school teams. N=Never, C=Chance, F=Foreseen, S=Success
Locations Used for Practice:
Ritenour School District gymnasiums: Thru their community involvement program they aid us in keeping the club costs to a minimum in gym fees. Practice times and locations are already available on our Practice page......
Anticipated Costs:
Players and their families can expect to incur a cost of $550.00 for the entire season. This includes the following items: 1 cap sleeve jersey, 1 sock, 1 short, all tournaments projected and gateway fees, equipment, gym fees, tryout/registration/ref-score gym fees, coaches registration fees, and administration costs. This does not include: knee pads, shoes, bags, warm ups, travel-hotels, gas, food
, etc. which are the responsibility of the individual athlete and their families. There are club fundraisers available on our site to re coupe travel and registration costs.  All Club fees are non-refundable.  Coaches are volunteers in order to keep club costs to a minimum. However, if a coach has no child on the team, their hotel & travel costs will need to be supplemented(paid directly to coach), Choice Hotels will be used  which provide breakfast. This amount would be divided between the team members of that team(14's only this year-1 coach)...approx $23.00/player/ trip.
(approx...hotel= $115 / gas @20mpg x2=$62 / food @ $30/day x 1 = /9 =$23.00.)

I continued my volleyball career in college where I played as a right side hitter and back up setter. This will be my second year coaching Net Force and I am really excited about the upcoming season. I am also the freshman coach for the girls and boys volleyball teams at Fort Zumwalt East High School. With this being said, I cannot coach any student that will be attending or transfering to Fort Zumwalt East High School, thank you for your cooperation. Age and Gender of Teams & Coaches:
The North County Aces began with the hope to give as many girls as possible the chance to play club ball at a low cost to the family.  Our goal is to help each girl improve their skill level and to instill in them a great sense of sportsmanship both on and off the court.  We hope that the players take with them not only improved play but that they also had a good time while they played.  Our coaching staff is dedicated to making sure that the players get the attention that they may need.  A list of the coaches follows and they are all impact certified.
Kelsey Westbrook 12’s
Entering her 2nd year of coaching for the North County Aces.  Kelsey worked with the 12’s last season then became a head coach for the 12’s and 13’s practice team where she worked very closely with the girls who either had very little playing time or never played before.  Kelsey will become the head coach of the 12’s this year where she can put her playing experience and volleyball skills to work teaching the girls the skills they will need to practice to become strong players.  Kelsey played a number of years for the North County Aces, high school ball in Illinois and she is also approved to ref high school games and for the IHSA.
Alyssa Humphreys 12’s

Maggie Ebeling 13’s
Maggie will be starting her third year of coaching for the Aces this season.  Her team last year won many tournaments and they was the first team in North County Aces history to go to the gold/silver regional’s.  The ranking at the end of the season was 12th.  She is ready to continue that success with the 13’s this season and her philosophy has not changed and that is to stress the fundamentals of the game through challenging drills.  Winning is always fun but the main point of the season is to see mark improvement in the girls both individually and as a team with a strong sense of team sportsmanship to each other and other teams.
Katie Hall 14’s
Katie will be starting her third season coaching for the Aces where last year her team finished first in two different tournaments and ended  up going to the bronze regional. Katie has a number of years playing for the Florissant CYC, a number of seasons for the North County Aces, McCluer North high school where she won a number of awards(selected to all districts her Jr and Sr year and also made all conference her senior year) and a year of college ball at Flo Valley Comm. College.  She is committed to putting together a great team this year by a lot of hard work and dedication to the players to improve their level of play.
Amanda Anton 14’s
This will also be Amanda’s third year of coaching for the Aces she helped coach the 13’s last year where they won the two tournaments and went to the bronze regional’s.  Amanda played a number of years for the Florissant CYC, a number of seasons for the North County Aces and she played her high school ball for Hazelwood West High school where she played Varsity for three years.  Amanda also has a strong sense of leadership to help her players succeed in improving their skills.
Sara Asmus 14’s
This will be Sara’s first year coaching for the Aces.  Sara played all 4 years of high school while coaching a youth instructional league in Kirkwood (KVA) for 2 years.  She also played 3 years for the St. Louis Spirits club and 3 years of club volleyball in college.  She loves coaching and she believes that she has a strong fundamental knowledge of volleyball skills she also has great leadership skills and is currently working with children and teens in a professional capacity which she feels would benefit her ability as a coach.

2010 was the first year for the RC Flyers Club. The Club started with two teams at age 16 and 17. We had 18 girls for two teams from 9 different local high schools. Our 16’s Team coached by Rachel Dauby (Head Coach at Harris Stowe State University) had a final record of 50-22. Their final ranking was 22nd out of 90 teams in that division. Their best finish was a 2nd at the McKendree Bearcat Classic. The 17’s Team was Coached by SIUE Division II All-American Mallory Clements. Their final match record was 70-10 against Gateway Division Teams. They won 4 area tournaments. The 17’s competed in the Kansas City Qualifier and finished 21st out of 56 teams. They reached a ranking as high as 8th and finished 10th out of 70 teams in the age group. They finished 7th in the Gateway Regionals. This year the club expects to expand the number of teams that compete out of the club. We generally  practice twice a week in the Troy, Illinois area, usually Monday thru Friday. We play 2-3 tournaments a month with one qualifier. We believe volleyball should be a fun experience for your child and also believe your child will be a better volleyball player by the end of our season.
