Junior Club Clinics for the 2008 Season
These clinics are designed to aid new clubs and small clubs that consists of 1-2 teams who are unable to provide their own approved clinician. Each clinic begins with a 2 hour classroom session that includes time to take and correct the required test. Refereeing and scorekeeping clinics will be held at the same time, therefore teams will need to divide their participants between clinics. After the clinic portion is complete, teams are required to stay and participate in the practical. Each player needs to wear or bring along playing clothes including a numbered shirt. Teams do not have to be dressed alike for the practical. In addition, those attending the referee clinic will need to come prepared with whistles and sanction cards to use; scorkeepers will need to bring a pen, pencil, and watch. During the practical, techniques and rules learned in the clinic portion will be applied. Each person will be given an opportunity to practice the new skill. The jr. officiating requirements are complete once a person has successfully finished the clinic AND practical sessions and the attendance record has been forwarded to the Gateway Region Office.

The clinic schedule is below, pre-registration is REQUIRED. Contact Shannon Loso, 314-849-1221, loso@gatewayvb.org, to register.

Train-The-Trainer Clinics
If you are already proficient in refereeing and scorekeeping, and you wish to become an approved clinician to train your junior referees and scorekeepers, these are the clinics for you.  At these clinics you will learn what information to cover, how to teach the information in a clinic setting, and receive all the materials needed to run your own clinic. The train the trainer session is not designed to be a full clinic in either refereeing or scorekeeping; therefore participants must know rules, techniques, and procedures prior to attending.
For more information contact Shannon Loso, 314-849-1221, loso@gatewayvb.org
