Girls 15-18's may begin the tryout process on Friday July 22, 2022 after 5pm.
Tryouts may start at 5pm on Friday. Commitment time is 7pm on Sunday of the Initial tryout weekend. Tryouts held after the initial tryout weekend may ask for a commitment at the time of the tryout.
Please form your teams within appropriate age and grade levels. We do have a grade based waiver process for players who miss the date of birth cutoff but are in the grade associated with that age (i.e. a 16 year old in the 10th grade). A school transcript will be required. Realize, this would be a waivered team and may not participate in any national qualifying divisions at National Bid/Qualifier events (the exclusion to this rule is the 17's and 18's age group). Special circumstances are required for any other age based waiver and must gain approval from our Juniors Coordinator.
Please be aware that once you have committed to play for a team, you are committed to that team for the season and you may not transfer to another team.
Any tryouts taking place prior to the start dates noted here are not sanctioned by the Gateway Region of USA Volleyball and are not for USAV teams. Non-Gateway Region Members do not gain Gateway Region Benefits, access to Gateway Region events, or USAV insurance coverage for VB Activities.
Postings for tryouts for the 2022-2023 season will begin afterJune 3, 2022. The tryout listing below is updated periodically, as more tryout sanctions are turned into Region Staff. Tryout edits and changes may only be made once - changes are noted in red. Tryout Sanction Forms should be emailed to Linus at firstname.lastname@example.org
Dear Staff and Membership :
“Safety and security don’t just happen; they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear.” Nelson Mandela
As we enter the 2021/22 season we wanted to provide some reminders regarding SafeSport training. The SafeSport training requirement became an annual training requirement beginning in 2018/2019 season. What is SafeSport ? It is the Olympic community's initiative to recognize, reduce and respond to misconduct in sport. The six primary types of misconduct are Bullying, Harassment, Hazing, Emotional misconduct, Physical Misconduct, and Sexual Misconduct (including child sex abuse). SafeSport Core is the first required course in the ongoing training curriculum. There will be refresher courses to follow each additional year. In the new SportsEngine Member Management System the course is easily accessible by clicking on the link on the eligibility requirements you receive when an applicable membership with the requirement is purchased. It can also be accessed by logging into your SportsEngine account at sportsengine.com and selecting Household on the left side menu, then your profile and view details on your membership.
