Congrats to our Region teams as they finish at National Qualifiers!

HPSTL 13 Royal secured their Open Bid in Minneapolis at Northern Lights, and to put a stamp on their achievement, Won the MEQ, and medaled again in Windy City!  Blue Steel's BSVBC 13 Black team scored a Liberty Bid in Downtown STL at the MEQ.

Prior to the Donna Mayer Bid Event, a 13 American Bid was re-allocated to our region, so 1 National and 2 American Bids were in play.  Pursuit 13 Elite finished 1st earning the region's National Bid.  Rockwood 13 Elite finished 2nd followed by Rockwood 13 Navy in 3rd - both earning the available American Bids.  On May 8th, a National Bid was re-allocated to our region, and was accepted by Rockwood 13 Elite, with their American Bid trickling to the HPSTL 13 Orange.

Our 12's age group had an explosive Easter weekend.  Rockwood 12 Elite were eventual champions of the 12 National Division in KC at the Show Me qualifier.  HP Illinois 12 Select finished in a position to earn a 12 USA Bid in Windy City.  Rockwood 12 Navy won their USA Division, securing their USA bid at the Show Me qualifier as well!

At the Donna Mayer Bid Event, there were 3 Bids available - 1 National and 2 American, in addition to the 2 USA bids that were brought into the event by HP Illinois 12 Select and Rockwood 12 Navy.  HPSTL 12 Elite finished 1st earning the region's National Bid.  HP South 12 Premier finished 2nd earning one of the region's American Bids.  Rockwood 12 Navy finished 3rd, but had already earned a higher ranked USA Bid, so was ineligible for the other American Bid.  HP South 12 Diamond finished 4th, and earned the other American Bid from the region.  HP Illinois 12 select finished 5th, but like Rockwood 12 navy, retained their previously earned USA Bid.

Although 2 of our Regional teams earned medals at National Qualifiers in the 11 National division, neither were able to secure a qualifier bid before our region's Bid Event. 

However, an 11 National Bid was re-allocated to our region on April 19th, so our Region had 2 National bids in play for the Donna Mayer event.  Rockwood 11 Elite finished 1st and HPSTL 11 Royal finished 2nd with both teams earning the 2 National bids to the GJNC!
