Match Protocols
Because Regionals is now a 2-day event, all match play will be full matches, best of 3 - 25, 25, 15.
Winter Kickoff may use abbreviated pool play scoring since this is a 1-day event.
Boys Regionals Championship events MAY offer ALL age divisions, instead of just even age divisions. This will be determined based on entries. If Age divisions are split, then there will be a minimum 4 teams in an age division to host a stand-alone division. If an “odd” age division does not meet the minimum 4 teams, the teams will merge into the next highest “even” age division. If an “even” age division does not meet a minimum 4 teams, the next lowest “odd” age division will merge into the “even” age division.
USAV Regional American Bids to the BJNC
Gateway Boys HS Regional Championships will award a single American Bid in the each of the U16s and U18s age divisions to the 2024 USAV Boys Junior National Championships (BJNC) in Dallas, TX. Teams entering this event should be prepared to play off any potential bid matches if teams are in a position to earn and accept a bid.
